Moe Howard - the ladies man

I can't help but admire how Moe is such a smooth operator.
Plus - the actress delivering the line, "I like you too you big handsome mousecatcher".....is beyond hilarious

ferme la bouche

What is the best advice for both a buffoon and someone with halitosis?
Keep your mouth closed.

Note : "ferme la bouche" is French for "close your mouth".
For more ways to say such in French, check out "How To say Shut Up In French" (@YouTube).

poetry in motion?

I'm not so much 'poetry in motion' - I'm more "prose that falls and keeps getting back up" #nevergiveup #youcandoit #prose #fridaymotivation
"The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." - even if it is a painful first step...
These were the very first steps I took in trying to run for the first time after a VERY serious and life altering accident. I fell, but I kept getting back up:)

Edison

"Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration", said the prolific inventor Thomas Edison who never got a patent for deodorant? #inspiration #ThomasEdison

a chrous that inspires

Music is a very integral part of my life. I listen to so many gendres of music, and this song nails it for me.
The chorus is like it was lifted from my life after my accident, "Had fingers in my eyes, had needles in my veins, a knife right through my heart, I am a victory"...no matter what anyone views me as being - to me, I am a victory!

After my accident, I DID have fingers in my eyes, needles in my veins, and did feel like a knife had run through my heart.
So although the lyrics of the song were not written specifically to my experiences, it (to me) does speak of my challenges, and to how far I have come, and that I am a victory.

It's you...

In this post is a VERY OLD song, called "Love the one you're with", which is kind of a nice thought. BUT, taken a step further - really speaks to something very deep (at least in my opinion), which is that in this often vapid, materialistic, and VERY superficial world, you first have to love yourself - no matter how others may view you.
Be the best you that you can be. Self-love (to me), is the necessary component to being able to love others.
I don't mean being vain, but accepting you for you.

eye think, therefore I am (confused)

my ophthalmologist told me I have lazy eye, I think of it as being more of a laid back and unmotivated eye #iamnotperfect #laughatmyexpense

solid foundation to build upon

Knowledge is good to build a solid foundation to empower your life. Misinformation is building a foundation on "no ledge". #differentmeanings #knowledgeisstrength

rote is right

A friend ridiculed me for having so many books, saying, "that's why I have a phone". I replied, "But I can donate books and still make phone calls". #oldschool

mime crime

Police were investigating a mime who had been robbed, but they could not get any leads on the crime, as the mime didn't want to talk about it? #mimehumor #reasontosmile

to the top

Often in life to achieve things perseverance is required. But without #resilience, perseverance is like climbing a mountain by talking about it. You have to take a vision & use it to stoke the fire of desire to burn within to fuel the motivation to take the steps to reach the summit. #youcandoit

the simple pleasures in life

I am a simple person - both in means and in mind. And although this post won't be an epic one - I just wanted to share what I am doing, now.
I am enjoying the simple pleasure of watching one of my favorite actors - Winona Ryder, in the 2002 movie, "Mr. Deeds" (it's a remake of the 1936 Frank Capra comedy, "Mr. Deeds Goes To Town").
The film does star Adam Sandler - who I am not the greatest fan of - BUT, Winona steals the movie in playing Babe Bennett (a TV reporter), who disguises herself as Pam Dawson (a school nurse).
The film is reasonably close in how it seeks to emulate the original 1936 movie.
Ms. Ryder is to me, both a talented and versatile performer. She plays this role perfectly, and her comedic talents shine in this movie.

making money in a polar vortex

I took this unusually cold weather to make some cold hard cash on my front porch. #mesocorny #polarvortex

Parrot = Facebook

I always wanted to get a parrot, but I'm frugal. So to hear the same things repeated over and over again, I go on Facebook (which I tongue and cheek, refer to as Fakebook). #overandoveragain

Friendship in 2019.

Like 2 iPeas and in iPad :-)

you CAN do it

The scenes in this clip are of Rob Schneider saying the words that truly should be part of the inner dialogue of everyone. Especially at those times when you question if you can do something.
The phrase is so simple, but sometimes the most simple things are the best.

what is love?
My Father REALLY liked limburger cheese, my Mom could not stand limburger cheese (especially the smell)....to me, THAT is love. #love

linguistic math?

If a paramedic is a person trained to give emergency medical care - would two such trained personnel be called a quartetamedics?

can't see the invisble man?

I've been texting using invisible text for my posts on Facebook.
It is either working VERY well, OR my "friends" have mislabelled themselves?

when is a compliment not a compliment?

I overheard two people talking, one said to the other, "it's good to see you again, you are my oldest friend".
Hmm....."oldest friend"? Not "best" friend?
I'm guessing the speaker must be a politician to word the "compliment" as such:)
