a "great" day

The way we use language is entertaining to me. Like when people use sarcasm....here's a funny memory of mine.
I meet up with a friend, who say, "Man I'm having a great day".
I say, "What do you mean?"
Friend replies, "This morning my car had to get jump started, then on the way here, I get a speeding ticket".
To which I say, "See? That's the difference between you and I, you have such a positive attitude. If it were me and my car had to get jump started AND I got a speeding ticket, that'd be a bad day"

Changing language

Language is always changing. When I was growing up, we played "hide and seek".
Now it would be called "redact and seek". #wordplay #yourmondaylaugh ๐Ÿ˜‰

funny diversion

Sherlock Jr - 1924 - HD Movie (Buster Keaton)
I really enjoy old movies, especially many from the silent era. Here's one of my favorites - "Sherlock Jr." starring Buster Keaton.

Many of the techniques and effects in this film were very innovative for the time, and are often used in many films through the years, and including today.

"All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players".
I wasn't given a speaking role :)

more whine anyone?

I like to peruse social media w/a beverage (coffee). Some people prefer to have a little whine while posting.

Shakespeare

Would a person who is both a urologist and a Shakespearian actor use the line, "to pee or not to pee"? #badpuns

hot topic?!

Ever changing language. How soon until news stories begin referring to arsonists as trailblazers? #speech #newterms

Planning 4 the future

I'm looking to get a "likes" button on my tombstone.
Eventually, everyone will be a follower.

Twitter is like shampoo?

A former co-worker I know has a good following on Twitter. From what I can tell it's sort of like shampoo directions : Tweet, Retweet, Repeat?

what room has only two walls?

I've often wondered if there used to be rooms with only two walls every time I hear the term "wall to wall" carpeting?
I mean, shouldn't it be "walls to walls" carpeting?

one thing at a time

when NOT to multi-task : I was using the phone while using the bathroom. Think I had a data leak.
